Turtle Study
Walking the wetlands has given us lots of opportunities to observe the animalia kingdom.
One creature in the reptile class has especially given us some fun memories, and, more sadly, has left some neat parts behind for us to study. We've found several turtle shells lying around and have learned that the shell is made of three parts:
Carapace (top)
Plastron (bottom)
Bridge (joins the two)
There are lots of different kinds of turtles!
