Feed the Birds: Garlands

We decided to spruce (ha!) up our birdseed station last year over the winter months.

First step is to find some greenery:

Chomp it good!

 Then head indoors to warm up!  Pop some corn, and using some string and blunt, large needles,  start stringing it up.  Throw in some cranberries for pop of color. (in our experience the birds didn't eat them, but they sure looked pretty!) 

The popcorn can be fragile and temperamental.  So LeadBugger had the brilliant idea of also making a string with cheerios.  so simple! 

Everyone had fun with this one...but then again they usually do!

 I thought it was cute and pretty. 

 And the birds seemed to enjoy it too!
