Look how amazingly HUGE those feathers are! Long and wide and such variety.  Sure would be interesting to find some of those lying around for comparison! When they are circling in the air they make the best shadows with their long, almost slender-looking outstretched wingspan.  I would never guess that their feathers are so monstrous. When you get to look up close at them, it's a completely different perspective, and one which can't help but immediately evoke in the imagination all the mean queens draped dramatically in thickly tattered witches cloaks.
